I didnt comment because i found the picture rather distasteful tbh- yes risk yourself but not an unborn child due to be born very soon
I couldn`t post because l thought it sooooooooooo wrong. She was doing everything all know is wrong![]()
What a bunch of nonsense. How do you know she didn't just climb on for that one photo? And why is it wrong for an individual to make their own choice about their own safety?
I get so tired of all the sanctimonious hand-wringing from all the safety nazis. Do I ride with a helmet? Always. I won't get on a horse without one. Do I chase down those who don't and read them the riot act? No, nor do I jump all over them when they post pics of same.
Could her unborn child be hurt if she fell or was thrown? Sure. It could also be hurt while she's driving her car or if she fell down her stairs.
There seem to be an inordinate number of people here who take an unseemly interest in what everyone else is doing (the number of posts whining about the equipment people choose to use is enough to tell you that).
My mother used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything." Wise woman, my mother.
Oh, and for those who take refuge in the fact that "I speak my mind" or "I'm not afraid to tell the truth," please give me a break. You just like ragging on other people because it somehow makes you feel superior. Which is fairly pathetic.

A lot of people ignored the thread because they were uncomfortable about the photo and decided best to say nothing. I think it's absolutely their right to do that. They've only commented now because they've been ticked off for being unfriendly. It's a huge forum and if people choose not to comment on any thread then I think that people have to be grown up about it and move on.

this - as ive said befor ethe picture made me feel uncomfortable so rather than commenting i backed off - but now ive been told im unfriendly or horrible for not commenting i replied - i have no issue with adults risking their own safety but to see a pregnant woman so close to birth risking her unborn baby in such a way - i didnt like it - shoot me
And whoever said this is akin to driving a car - shut up!![]()
..but who says we need to comment when it has bugger all to do with anyone else? I wear a hat, wouldn't not wear one, but would probably hop on to have a pic without.
But is that anyones business but mine?
If you chose not to reply then thats your choice, I wouldn't let it bother you, but I won't shut up.

I must confess I can't be bothered with all that false polite conversation such newbie posts result in I come on here to see what attracts my interest and post on that that does I do enough polite conversation on unimportant things I really do not have much interest in at work, so at home i avoid like the plague, does that make me unfriendly?
So it's ok for you to have an opinion, but not me?![]()
seriously...you're annoyed cause not many people said hi ?
how dare we...there is no obligation to post...
No, not annoyed, just thought it was rather a shame for the young lass that I was the only one who said hi back. But then, I'm rather new to internet forum etiquette and thought it was a bit like shyly walking into a room and saying hello, only to be ignored.
Interesting to read peoples' reactions though! I'm beginning to understand this forum thing better now I think.
I'm quite new here, and I didn't feel the need to do a newbie post, I just launched in with a problem and asked for help, and got masses of really useful replies. and even some personal messages offering practical help, in my inbox. Lovely.![]()
See that's why I like this forum! Some people have some amazing advice and knowledge and generally everyone's really helpful. It's just newbie posts I don't seem to like/read!! Not that I'm against newbies! Shoot me down now! I just like people who get stuck in!!
We seem to be having a conversation on two posts!!
I'm having a conversation on two posts? I AM??? Wait till I tell my daughter. She thinks I'm an internet idiot.
lol at sig pic!! X
rikey just seen this... i hadnt meant to cause such a stir, and as has already been suggested i did indeed hop on for a photo with pony and hop off again, although there wasnt much hopping involved. you will all be relieved to know that when litte legs is here i'll be sporting my hat and long boots and cracking on with my riding again, along with motherhoodi cant wait.
i have to admit, probably was taken aback by some posts but hey ho public forum and im a 25 year old adult who can make my own choices and respect those choices and opinions of others![]()
i wasnt looking for a load of false hellos and if you have taken the time to do so then great... thank you. and for those who have chosen to judge me, thank you also.
