disaster to happiness and general farmer - hugging !

some of you may remember i posted these pics last Fri of my field

I totally lost my field, the fencing is gone, its soaked and the farmer I rented from said it just had to be the end of the road (its done it before) I was gutted as although I wasnt totally stuck, I have a small paddock and stable at my house, this field was a couple of hundred yards along the road. So I was facing a long, messy, muddy winter, have been stabling at night since last week (although Sec D doesnt need it) but just to try and save m ground. However another farmer neighbour appeared in the guise of my fairy godmother, I kid you not. Gateway currently going in off my wee paddock into this - Am having to lead them round the long was at the moment until my gate is finished.

So - that was hugged farmer number 1

Then I did this

Mortified! there was a lorry coming towards me and nowhere to pull in at all (single track) and I thought it was a verge, honest Thankfully a tractor was behind the lorry and saw what happened....

Cue second farmer-hugging incident

just thought Id share, its nice to share good news once in a while and we really have the BESTEST farmers round us I reckon

Allelujah NSN! Someone is looking after you and rightly so. Can't believe you still have sense of humour after this my darling. Hope car ok and ponies look over the moon with that scrub in that paddock!

When I first moved to Ireland I went into the ditches twice. Couldn't wrap my head around ditches covered by brambles and tiny little roads. I always pulled over that little too far! I'm so thankful I had some wonderful kind farmers to help the "hapless American".
