Oh god poor horses, i hope it ends well
but ditto Booboos why on earth did they choose to travel them in this weather?? a livery on my instructors yard has just had a horse imported from Portugal and it was a few days late because they chose not to ferry it due to weather! so whats different this time?!

apparantly it set sail on Saturday and thought to have happend either saturday night or early hours Sunday morning.

Poor horses!

Very odd that they would choose to travel them in this weather!

Over a certain force, the ferries won't allow you to sail with horses between Ireland at least and they're pretty good at forecasting bad weather too so does make you wonder if they had a technical failure which delayed them or something. Fell very sorry for their connections.

That was my impression with the Channel ferries as well, as I have heard of horses being delayed at Dover/Callais due to bad weather and captains refusing to take them on board (rightly so!).

At least there is a qualified Vet on board to shoot them if the ferry starts to go down..

I horrible thought but that was the first thing that went through my head when I heard a vet was with them. Hope it doesn't come to that.

Ok havent heard anything else other than there are lots of people doing there best to get these horses off.

This is it translated.

The freighter "S. Gabriel" has 360 tons of fuel oil and already was sealed for avoid escapes of fuel.

Today left seven of the 14 crew members. Alone they stayed the that are considered essential to embroidery.

Also the seven Portuguese horses go to continue in the ship and alone should leave after secluded all the fuel.

That confirms I Castrate Garcia, commander of the port of Thin Tip.

Fingers crossed everyone x

Latest news, they have managed to get two of the horses off, they are on a ship heading for land.

The freighter stranded off the island of Sao Miguel. the Azores, is stable. The environmental risk is controlled but there is still no plan for the rescue of containers. All crew are safe, as well as seven Lusitano horses on board. Are the Lusitano horses which were bound for the continent to participate in the cup in Portugal Competition. Antonio Lopes, the equestrian center of the Azores, explains that all efforts to rescue the animals are being made.
