My partner ordered a pair of Mark Todd riding boots on the 24th August. He got an email saying estimated delivery was between the 28th-31st August. We have still not received anything. We have tried phoning them many times and emailed them but no reply.

Has anyone else had bad experiences with them? How did you get your money back? My boyfriend unfortunately did pay through Paypal. Would it be worth reporting them to Trading standards?

Please anyone help, my boyfriend is feeling quite upset as well.

I had trouble with them when I ordered a bp for hubby. I struggled to get hold of them (answer phone, ignoring emails etc) until I left a message asking them to phone me urgently as I wanted to add something else to the order before they shipped it, oddly enough they phoned back within the hour - then I told them I wanted my money back!

To be fair, once I did get hold of them they refunded right away but getting to speak to them was a real pain. They seem to be a firm of extremes, I've read very good reviews of them and very bad ones too - but no average ones!

If you paid by credit card speak to their customer service people, mine were very helpful - they told me that if I hadn't had delivery within a month they'd refund me & they'd get the money back off them, but to keep track of any emails either from me or them.

Whoops - just read you paid by paypal, can they not help out??

Good luck

Do you mean your boyfriend did or did not pay through PayPal? If he did use their complaints procedure, if he didn't then go through his credit card issuers' complaints procedure. If he used a debit card then it depends on which bank he uses as to whether he's covered. If he sent cash through the post then he's a nana:)

He did not pay through Paypal. He paid using his debit card through their online system.

Just for information..

As has been said already if you use a credit card you are covered under the Consumer Credit Act. If you use a debit card and the goods don't appear you can request a chargeback from your bank.

Details here:

It is not a perfect system, however I have found a letter sent to the company by registered post saying that you will be requesting a chargeback usually does the trick.

I hope you get your goods...
