Some photos of the basenji stand at Discover Dogs on Saturday. Only a few as we were very, very busy all day so these few were taken right at the end of the day.
I was really surprised how popular the stand was, at one point the crowd was 3 deep around us. All of the dogs behaved impeccibly. The lovely ladies organising the stand had their dogs on for the morning, then after a bit of shopping my two girls manned the stand and met their adoring public through to closing
Neither had done anything like this before and with Alice being a baby i wasnt 100% sure what she'd make of it but she absolutely loved it. Maya was her typical self, spent about 1hr mingling, the other 4+ hours asleep on the chair
But she was happy to let everyone stroke her and give her belly rubs. Baby Alice was front and centre though!
Anyway, photos
Shopping in the morning, sadly i didnt buy this for Maya but doesnt she look cute?lol!
Alice meeting everyone at the end of the day. She got really frustrated that she couldnt reach the people when she was on the floor (anyone who knows basenjis will know they HATE being on the floor and not able to get involved!!) so i propped her up on the rail and there she sat for the rest of the afternoon!!
Maya with one of her breeders
And finally, two girls ready to go home!
We've volunteered for Crufts 2013 on Gundog and Hound day also so please do come and meet the girls if you're there!!
