Anything LR/RR bring out, you need to wait a few years for all the teething problems to be worked through before you get the reliable version of something. A 2014 Freelander 2 will be (with some exceptions) more reliable than a new LR or RR anything!

When you look at the rear profile of many of these faux 4x4s, you will notice that there's nowhere to fit a tow bar ...

And the auto version of the FL2 tows nicely!

LR are focusing on producing the Range Rovers and new Defenders as that is what is selling well and they can't get enough 'chips' for their other models due to the world shortage. From the experience of friends I would steer clear of any LR model and look at VW Touran, Toureg, Rexton or Skoda Kodiak.

We have a Mazda CX-7 which tows an iFor with a 14hh and a 15.3hh in it and fits two border collies easily in the boot if you were looking for alternatives.

We have had lots of Land Rover, Range Rover models over the years and have had no more break downs than other modelsā€¦ in fact the worst we have had for breakdowns and service is mercā€¦. So I guess with cars itā€™s all a bit the luck of the draw.
