Disgraceful - NO mention whatsoever of the equestrians - we had a couple of closeups of Nick Skelton and Zara - but they mentioned all the golds except the equestrians. Oh there was a mention in the dreadful 50 best Olympic moments of 'dressage' and Charlotte duJardin but mainly a means to use their dreadfully unfunny (what/who are they) 'comedians'/'journalists' whatever....
At one time we had Olympia every day on BBC, Hickstead etc etc - now second class citizens. DISGRACEFUL. Maybe if tearful Vicky had comeback after lifethreatening injuries to win gold they'd have ignored her too.

Didn't watch the whole thing. But I saw a section on equestrian success with a piece narrated by Charlotte Dujardin and they also had a bit about Paralympics too with Sophie Christiansen ..... Not enough coverage for me, but I guess it was something !

I didn't watch it either, not that I wasn't happy at the cycling chap's success, but I am annoyed at the ignorance of the media in reporting equestrain sport other than racing.
Its about time, the UK was dragged into the 21st century and the skill of horsemanship was realised by the wine swilling journalists in media land.

I didnt watch it all but they had our equestrians on stage and spoke to them didnt they?! I saw william fox-pitt, nick skelton, tina cook, nicola w, lee pearson to name a few i saw.

They did do an equestrian feature, it wasn't the best, but there was one.

The general public aren't that interested in equestrian sports, so the fact they did a piece - no matter how short - was a great thing.

And there was a mention of the sports. A few of the olympians were on stage, Nick Skelton, Tina Cook etc, and Clare Balding said the dressage team couldn't be there as they were at Olympia...

I didnt watch it but I did catch a news clip that said about the womens hockey team being the only team sport to win a medal. Yes the equestrians all competed individually but they also competed as a Team and won Gold Medals ...

Apparently there was a bit on Campbell so I will have to catch up on it.

They had some Equestrians on stage, Nick Skelton, Zara Philips, Lee Pearson etc and had a film by Charlotte dujardin.

So think the Equestrian side of sport got a a fairly good coverage.

I don't why but I'm thinking TROLL. As first post by OP. and if they watched the SPORTY then they would have seen them

There was a whole section on the equestrian success!! Clearly, OP, you didn't watch the whole programme.

The entire equestrian team was on the stage and they spoke to a few of them.

Then there was also a VT of Charlotte which was probably 2 mins long.

As much as I'd have liked more equestrian coverage, we weren't the only success at the Olympics and there has also been a lot of success out side of the Olympics for GB teams/athletes as well so they had a lot to cover and I think the portion we had was adequate.

Just wanted to add, as my phone keeps sending my posts before I've finished them, that the equestrian sports got just as much coverage as the other sports, such as boxing.

The only thing I would say it was dumbed down a little for the general public, dressage was the dancing horses etc, but I think they did a good job of covering it tbh. And they including Camelot and Frankel, albeit briefly.
