Disgusting Behaviour

I think the world has gone nuts

I had a couple of dealers very close to my yard caught on film sorting out their drugs into little bags which had little union jacks on, they were opening doing it, they were quite young.

As a child I thought A/B's and asprin were drugs, reading that article I can't imagine what my parents would of done to me if I had done anything to harm any animal, studies has shown that young people who derive some sort of kick out of harming an animal are more likely to harm humans when they are older, the parents of those children should take heed as one day those kids maybe looking after them when they are old and infirm

As a kid, I would never have thought of this type of behaviour as even any where close to being acceptable.
Also as a animal lover I'm equally infuriated that this being done to animals.

I hope they are found and suitably punished, but in this day and age they will get a slap on the wrists for fear of hurting their feelings.

I really hope that it has had no adverse affect on the poor horse.

I think I would hunt them down if I were the owner as I would be beside myself with anger

My dear old Dad used to say always do what you feel is right, they can only hang you once!

Mind you if I were the owner by now I would make sure I knew those kids names, age, school attending, parents occupations and who they worked for, address, rank and serial number

While it's certainly a horrible thing to do and I'm not condoning this in the slightest, I think the mother's comment that it could have killed him or ruined his career is a bit OTT - and totally agree with NLP that she's making out her daughter is totally innocent while blaming the other kids. If she's that bothered by it wouldn't she go straight to the police rather than the media and let her daughter suffer the consequences?

I really can't see that the horse will have inhaled that much if he pulled back as soon as they tried to stick some up his nose and, being the size he is, surely he'd have to inhale a hell of a lot more than your average human for it to affect him?

I'm reading it as the daughter received it on Snapchat not that she was actively participating in the act.

You could be right, I haven't a clue what snapchat is,

Strange how this article will be travelling the world now whereby once it would of been dealt with locally and not known about further afield

No idea about what volume of drugs are needed to cause any harm to an animal the nearest anything has ever got to my nose is Vick vapour stuff when I want to breathe during a cold

"The 15-year-old girl who filmed the incident later showed her mother.

The mum, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed her disgust that anyone would an animal in this way and reported it to North Wales Horse Watch."

But it does read slightly different lower down the article, but it still didn't stop the child from sharing before asking about it.

The girl shared it amongst horsey facebook groups (I think I saw it on chit chat) as a 'warning' she is young and I honestly think she wasn't sure what to do with the information she had (and seemed a bit shocked that it had happened).

She did film the incident but the incident here was the sharing of the film as what she did was film the film not the horse being given the drugs, so that she had a copy saved (as snapchat would delete it)- it was that which she shared.

It disgusts me that anyone would act like that to an innocent animal! Shame it was such a nice horse. I know a few including mine where if you'd have tried such a thing you'd have had your hand bitten off. It makes me so angry that these kind of people get us teenagers a reputation for being violent, drug using louts when so many of us are decent and hard working

Absolutely infuriating. I wish there were stricter laws in place for this sort of abuse.

Surely this is behavior that will only transpire onto violence against people when they're older?!?!
