Disgusting!!

Hi,

I took my little Patterdale out for a walk and once we'd been round the fields near me once I thought I'd take him round again as I had some spare time. Big mistake! He rolled... but in what looked to me like dogs diarrhoea

!
He was yellow from head to toe and when I bathed him I was phyically sick, it was awful!
I know they are partial to smelly things and he has rolled in foxes muck before but I can't believe he did this!
Have any of yours got this particularly awful habit?

Eurgh the wee minger! I would've turned the hose on him to get the worst off before bathing him.

OH's pup gets hosed off if he rolls in something disgusting. Outside hose and he is NOT impressed, but he rolls less now, so clearly makes the connection - rolling in smelly stuff = nasty cold hose!

grim! our older dog had a thing for rubbing his head in horse poo when he was a pup, but that sounds the absolute worst

It was horrendous, and the little bugger didn't want to go into the bathroom because he knew what was coming (hates been bathed) so he tried to lay down on my cream carpet!!! No chance matey!!

One of mine once rolled in a discarded babies nappy - GROSS! Wa sout walking so had to buy bottled water to pour all over her before could take her home in car.

My collie bitch used to do this. She would roll in things that could not be identified and the smell would make you pass out. She used to roll in strange, smelly substances which would end up ebedded in her collar. Even though the collars were cleaned they still seemed to retain the repulsive smell and get binned.

The worst was when you could see that she had got the scent of something. There was no way of calling her away. You could only run towards her while she was rolling in it and would do a little 'shimmy' action to make sure it was well rubbed in.

She looked really happy when she was doing this though.
