Dishing

George dishes at the front and I bought him, I guess with dishing there isn't the worry of them hitting themselves, it also depends what you want the horse for. George is just a pet / leisure horse who won't be worked really hard, so I and the vet were quite happy. I guess there may be wear and tear on his joints in the future, who knows.

A slight dish, possibly, but in probability no.

I stayed for all of two minutes last year when viewing a horse that did dish - after having been told it's movement was straight.

Dishing yes, most horses can be ridden more correctly to improve it, plus so many Spanish horses dish I would have disgarded lots of good 'uns had I said no to dishing! Plaiting - nope, wouldn't touch it but that is just me

Depends on the age/type/ and how bad their action is etc... My cob mare dished slightly, but has improved as she matured, was schooled and became more balanced. Lickwise a friends cob plaited very slightly when she brought him as a weedy 3yo, he is now 5yrs and his movement is almost straight now.

A good farrier can reduce dishing dramatically so really not a problem, a lot of flashy moving dressage horses dish but with correct foot shaping and correct schoolling it can be reduced.

Donkey dishes for England, and it does not bother me in the least, except when she plants her great big plates on my little ones!!!
