Barry has rain rot and needs a rug as it’s raining..heavy
Was just wondering if there was a way to disinfect the inside of his rug with a spray or something to stop the rug reinfecting him?

If it will fit in a washing machine, I wash and then rinse in dettol laundry aid.
If it's a rug which needs reproofing just wash and reproof.
Sew old socks or gloves round the metal circingle clips to stop damage to machine. Always wash numnah regularly and rinse in dettol laundry aid too.
Use the Naff Love the skin he's in to wash down after riding if sweaty. Rain scald/ sweat scald is caused by same bacteria.
May need to clip out in winter.
Flamazine is best for any raw areas. Don't use sudocreme or any oily creams as it will block hair follicles and the bacteria will burst out elsewhere.
