Dislike of particular people by horses? Am I crazy?

Interesting that some of these horses seem to go by visuals rather than scent. I mean, obvious when you think of how horses have evolved, but interesting that they distinguish between humans in that way.

It is. You cant go near a friends horse wearing a baseball cap or he will have you, basically. Hes a lovely sweet horse otherwise.

My horse has HIS people any one else he can be funny with but in particular he hates men in general but if they have any sort of camaflarge gear on he is really scared snorts and wont go any where near them.

My friend who he is fine with sometimes has her OH come along and help her and even if this guy is not in sight he can know he is around he must smell him or something. This guy has never done anything to him but it must prevoke some memory from his past.

After contacting his breeder I knew he was fine with her till she had to part with him at 3 I got him at 4 but inbetween he had been with a dealer what's your betting he wore camaflarge gear ?

They say elephants have a good memory but I think horses have as well.

My boy bit the last yardman and also was totally nervous after he had been left to to muck out for only two days, this stupid and insensitive person was not a "horse person", probably actually frightened of horses, so is aggressive towards them in order to "be the boss"
I also found him very aggressive to me, and indeed to his children.

I used to work in a yard where the biggest horse used to bite at anyone walking past, well that's not acceptable, so I went in to his stable and "whispered" to him, every time I walked past I spoke his name "Brushfire", and then I just walked past till one day I did not have my usual hat on, and he swiped at me! Bad boy, lol.
