Disliking buyer?

Having been on the receiving end of this, I would respect a seller that didn't want to sell a pony to me, as to me it show's they are genuine and have the horse's interest at heart. I would be more worried if they didn't ask about my experience or seemed interested in my background and what I was looking for. Having said that I was really offended when a seller didn't feel I was suited to their horse as I really liked it, and was paranoid my riding was terrible! Have gone back to lessons so hopefully look a lot better when trying horses!

Luckily for me, the last horse I bought, someone got to see him before me but the owner didn't like them and chose to sell to me instead. They were apparently there for 2 hours, saw him ridden, driven and pop a crosspole (he was rising 5 then so not jumped much) and all the time they were there they didn't once stroke or pat him. I went to see him and the first thing I did was hang round his neck telling him how gorgeous he is. lol.

Lucky for me the owner thought this was great, rather than just thinking I was some lunatic. He has given me back my confidence in just 2 bareback rides :)
