How does everyone display their rosettes? I was wondering if there was anything on the market that is made to display them? Feel its a sheme to have them hidden in a bag! Thanks in advance
I have mine in my room, On top of some prof pictures I have them scattered all pver to be honest as I dont like to put them in a bag as they are so nice.
Dermots are next to his tribute photo that sits above the fire place.
We used to display the ones we got in that season in the cab of the horsebox with a wire ruining along the back. Until the wire got filled then we took the less amazing ones off. Each season it was cleared and we started again.
I always right on the back what there for because in my room I had quite I few so its nice to remember which one is for what event. Once you get over a certain amount they lose there importance and get rather pointless, I think. So nicer to keep the better of them.
You can buy cabinets to put them in, but we have some of that plastic netting strung up and you can hook the rosettes directly onto it. It is light, but very strong, and works well.
Oh meant to say I only have the important ones on show as I have so many. Most are 1st 2nds and 3rd anyway only got a few 5ths and 6ths from when pony was very naughty
Mine are either in the lorry or in a box in the wardrobe. Might get round to taking them out one day and putting them in the lorry too,as we only have a few in there and it looks a bit bare.
The way things are going with Axey at the moment I don't think I will be getting many more this year
My 1st's and national ones, sashes and trophies are in my room, We have stables inside, so each ponies rosettes from the season is opposite their stable, untill they fill it up where we put the better ones up. We write on the back of them, and we have 2 big boxes ful from previous years.
In my room i have the first win of the season near the ceiling, then use safety pins to pin the rest beneth down to the floor, then start a new colum!
Our house is quite modern and my hubby didn't want my rossettes cluttering up the place so I bought a big art canvas and pinned the rosettes to it in rows (with the tails of the rosettes tucked underneath) to cover the whole canvas. I have two side by side on the wall and it looks really neat and smart.
This years so far are on the dog guard in the landrover. When it is full, then will edit the collection to the nicest ones. Will start afresh next year. Always write on which child/pony, date and class. They get put away in boxes at the end of the year.
