Hi
We recently moved into our property which has stables and a 20mx32m manege. We do not keep horses and I was told we can sell the surface on. The surface was installed in 2012 and used for 9 months. I have no idea how to go about advertising for it to be sold. Please can someone help? Are there any sites that ddeal with second hand surfaces? We are in North Wales

You could advertise it on Preloved, there aren't any specific sites however.

You could also contact local arena surfaces companies to see if they have anyone looking for secondhand surfaces.

I would add though that if you are planning on moving at all then it a manege adds a lot of value and is hard to get planning permission to build.

ahhhhhh i would love to take this off your hands.......but currently have no where to put it!!!!!! just my luck! i expect in 2 months time id have been jumping up and down with pure excitement!

It may be of no concern to you what monies you get for the surface, but I think you need to also be realistic about what value you may get for it, as the buyer will need to pay someone with a digger to uplift and load by lorry load, which will not be a cheap job. I have seen surfaces offered FOC and some for a nominal £500. People no longer requiring them are just pleased to get rid, as disposal is difficult.

You need to check carefully rubber is a waste with new rules covering it .
You may need a license to remove it from the site not sure where you will find out for sure but the local council would seem a good start.
