Dissapointed with Katie Price shirt

I supose the large size would drown her though? Think they've done the sizing to match KP, Ive always been a medium even when I was a mere size 8 (broad shoulders

) so if I wanted one of those id need an XL

Think ill pass

Oh well at the quality is ok, so if she takes a 10 and that was a medium, then I'd need a large (I'm a 10 too) right then I'll try and remember that when I order one.

Hmm one other thing I would say is you would probably have to turn the sleeves up in that case. My daughter has long arms and as you can see the cuffs on the medium are well down her hands. Also I have a feeling by going larger you may get wider but not much longer. Not sure.

Think I'd be sending it back as it definitely isn't longer length as stated in the info from DH.

Katie Price longer length XC sgirt with diamonte detailing.

Product is not as described.

As for BS, get back under the bridge troll!!!

Thats a shame about the top and I do agree that you should send it back as it is not really as advertised.

...and how on earth did this become a 'I hate KP thread'?!? Some people never quit do they. Ahh well. Agrees totally with CracklinRosie!
smile.gif

It does look a bit short, but have to admit your daughter looks better in it than KP, lol! If she likes it, maybe she should keep it and start a new 'in thing' at college?

Brandysnap? Anything but sweet and possibly embarking on a rather short HHO career! You are most odd and rude! I would also re-read your own posts and correct the grammar before pointing the finger at spelling mistakes!

Apologies firstly for not being a fashion guru!

Only learnt tonight in pub, that Katie Price is, in fact, Jordan?

Please may i humbly suggest that we put horse/pony welfare first? And maybe we may all consider putting our hard earned money into a better cause than Jordan's millions? And subsequent fashions?

(And may i also please comment on the spelling of 'dissapointed'. It should read 'disappointed'. )

However, my main question is - how on earth could Jordan do sitting trot?!! (Ouch!!)

Oh - and er- big question, dear Little Scribbles, is why you and your daughter feel that Jordan is someone worth following?

Surely, you, as her horsey Mum, could direct her more towards Mary King, Mark Todd, Lucinda Green, or our dressage or SJ heroes?

I only hope that all who are reading this thread give as much attention to their ponies'/horses' welfare, as they do to Jordan's page 3 things!

Best wishes, BS

Hi,

I feel I must comment about this Jordon equestrian wear. Ive only just seen it as I live in Australia at the moment. I saw the 'collection' on her website today and cant help but say-its awful. How can she possibly call that an equestrian collection ? Its a load of pink jumpers and t-shirts. Im not saying theres not a market for pink clothes but call it what it is. Just because there are horses in the photos doesnt mean its equestrian wear. I personally think its awful and will continue to support the other equestrian companies. Why does she feel the need to make even more money from images of herself looking so false and plastered in make up? I gave her the beneift of the doubt when I heard she was trying to take her riding seriously but this 'collection' is just barbie-wear.
Ive no idea whats going on in the UK with regards to press coverage of her but isnt this just another ploy by her to get on the front page? Is it being well received over there?

Hahaha I love it well said you 2!!!!

BS,
I think you must just be very bored and want to upset someone. WHERE does it say that by buying new horsey clothes, whatever the colour/make/style, that your horse's welfare will suffer?

This thread was not about the OP's horse's welfare, and frankly I have no idea why you tried to bring that into the equation. Presumably a low level insult to try and stir the pot.

Why does the OP have to choose BETWEEN a new top and making sure her horse is healthy and well looked after? Surely she can have both!!!

You are VERY patronising.

Crawl back under your bridge.

I would also send it back!

Longer length is meant to be designed for taller people. In shops the taller ranges usually start at 5'8". I am 5'10", also with a long body, so that would probably be a crop top on me! I hate tops where you have to keep pulling them down over your tummy because they are too short!

what on earth is everyone on lately
mad.gif

OP, i think i would send it back, apparently you can email KP with what you think of her range, might be a idea?

I'm 5'4 but it doesn't look like it would be much longer on me
frown.gif

little scribbles, i actually think that it looks better on your daughter than on KP, not because there is anything wrong with kp but it looked more glammed up on her, and looks more horsey on your daughter. I think she should keep it and get another longer one for college.
grin.gif
(your daughter looks lovely btw).
I can't believe that this thread has gone into the usual kp rants. i bet john whittaker, joules, toggi etc make a lot of money but nobody goes on about horse welfare or lining their pockets if we buy it. I for one don't buy something for me rather than buy feed for my horses. so not really a welfare issue is it.
Lots of girls like pink, it's not to say that they want to do page 3.

It really bothers me that everybody hates Katie Price, she has done so much charity work for various good causes! So what if she's earnt millions from flashing her T*ts in the tabloids, i'm sure that if we had the chest and body that she does, we would all do it!!!

AND... she had a breast reduction to help with sitting trot!!

Well thanks everyone (well maybe not everyone
mad.gif
) for replies. You have all confirmed my view that the shirt should be longer. As the company is DH I really am not up for anymore hassle with them so my daughter is going to keep it and try and find a different longer one as suggested by chestnut mare.

I think I will email KP as it is misleading in the catalogue. Asbo where did you see the addy?

I can't believe all the fuss that a simple enquiry about a shirt has caused.
It's scarey and quite sad how some people take every opportunity to take a pop.

its madness isn't it
mad.gif

think i saw it in the catalogue, think eldest daughter has swiped it to her room so will find it in the morning

Hi Merrymaker!
smile.gif

And thanks.

May i please apologise to all, if i've offended.

My message is simply that i abhore consumerism and commercialism, and designer stuff, especially when it involves taking the pee out of our equine industry, and extracting money which could be better spent (ie by donating to equine charities.) (Sorry i didn't previously say this explicitly, hence some confusion)

Working in the industry is hard, and demands nothing short of dedication.

Working and competing horses is a very expensive task, in time, money, personal risk, and all in all, a very expensive gamble for those who do it as a profession.

So, if folk choose to buy designer clothes for their kids, then complain about their fit on the forum, i hope you see my point of view also when i have a bit of a go back.

I mean no harm, just hope to encourage the old true horsemanship values.

All best wishes, BS

Hi Charlie,

Yes, point taken, but i've worn Harry Hall stuff since i was about 9, and it's always been good.

My gripe is about celebrity people, who've never actually achieved anything, but play on their famous name (and body!)in order to make even more money from innocent folk, who pay the wealthy celebrity a ridiculous price for a piece of clothing which was probably made in China (with all the implications)

Hence my comments that i wish the money could be given to welfare charities instead. I hope i've explained myself a little better?

BTW i just love that song. Have you heard Fron choir do it? I defy anyone not to shed a quiet tear! X

No actually I don't see your point of view

If you had bothered to read my post properly you would have seen that I wasn't "buying designer clothes for my kid". My daughter worked an extra shift to treat herself to this shirt. My reason for posting was we wondered if perhaps hers had been either, labelled incorrectly/was one faulty one and other people had found them to be longer.

How in any sane persons mind does this deserve "a bit of a go back"?

My daughter goes to college, competes and works dammed hard in a hot hell hole of a kitchen (only job available at her age locally) . This enables her to help a little bit with the cost of the horses and to treat herself .

One such treat was this shirt. I fail to see how you think this gives you the right to question our values. We are dedicated to our horses but more than likely most things we buy for them fall under the umbrella of commercialism.

What do you mean "old horsemanship values" what do you do grow your own oats and dress in a sack? or are you just trying to be provocative for the sake of it?

Hi Little Scribbles,

I'm sorry.

I got the totally wrong impression, obviously. I'm not trying to be provocative, and thanks for explaining a bit more - I think we may share more views than I initially mistakenly thought.

May I wish you and your daughter well, and good luck with the shirt!

Best wishes, BS
