Hi everyone,

I'm a 2nd year BSc Equestrian Sports Science student at Hartpury, and I'm doing my dissertation next year.

I want to do my dissertation on something that the industry and horse owners actually want and can use, so what sort of thing do you guys want to know about rider psychology, getting horses fit, equine or rider biomechanics etc? Give me your ideas about what could help you!

Thanks!

Which areas/topics interest you most?

I know you want to produce something relevant to the industry, but you'll spend so much time on it that you really need to enjoy what you're researching/writing!

I *possibly* have just figured out my masters thesis subject. It came from a question that I asked in a lecture, which turned out not to have an answer! Maybe have a flick back through your notes and see if there are any areas that get your attention :)

I would agree with Jinx, it's great wanting to do something useful but having spent last year writing mine on a British Government body I wish I'd gone with what interested me which was decidedly Not a British Government Body. 🙄 Likely it'll be useful as well as enjoyable! Maybe speak to your lecturers, especially those who teach modules which interest you most as they may be able to point you in directions where there are gaps which need filling!
