Distance - home to horses?

They are in my back garden . I used to travel about 4 miles to get to them and the furthest i have travelled is about 10/12 miles but it was good hacking so was worth travelling too.

Three miles away on full livery on beautiful small yard with fab turn out and v caring and knowledgeable YO. Perfect! On the way to work, too, which is five miles away, so see him every day, in the morning and ride in huge amounts of parkland or floodlit school in the evening. Must have been very good in a past life!

Mine is 4.5 miles away, would like him to be a bit closer but would hate him any closer to town. I'd love to cycle but the roads are all narrow and windy and I think I'd get squished!

5-10 minute walk, though up a very steep hill before anyone gets too jealous

5 miles dead on. Takes 11 mins during off peak traffic or 20 in Peak traffic

3.5 miles, about 5 mins by car, takes me over an hour and a half to walk there as it's all uphill! Plus side is it's not so long to walk home! They're on DIY livery so I go up twice a day all year round.

Now I'm with them in 10 minutes, just down the road. Perfect!

Bit embarrasing driving down there with tack/water...especially if someone stops to let me back out of the driveway then follows me 100m down the road to the stables

Used to be 23 miles each way, now 3 miles and I'm so much happier!

About 4 miles away and takes 10 mins, I go once a day as he's out, when we come in for winter, we all share duties, and work around each others shifts. With a small yard, who all get on and pull their weight we can all have a day off a week if you want one!
