Recently when asking for a left lead on the lunge, my mare always picks up a right lead but gets disunited behind. My mare is also not jumping well at the minute with two elimations this weekend due to refusals (she rarely refuses). She is also playing up with loading her in the trailer and refusing to open her mouth to her pelham but is fine with my snaffle. I bought her for jumping and take her out every othe weekend but I dont jump at home.

I have the back specialist coming out on Friday incase she is in pain but other than that I am clueless to what is going on with her. Help!

Back / Saddle / Teeth / Feet as a first port of call. Then see if you can get a decent instructor to have a look if you havent found anything. Dont forget the ground is very hard ( or is round here!) so if you are jumping on grass she could be a bit jarred up too.

Atrhritic changes in the small bones in the hock joint..... merlins had tildren and hock medication injections and he seems ok now.... so not always the end of the world. Probably isnt that though so dont worry x
