Physio came again yesterday afternoon and the vets said that her blood test were all normal, which is great.

Since the physio saw her last I became was the self appointed general of a military campaign which made Stormin Norman look like an amateur!

I was abley assisted by my OH who did anything that looked like it might get exciting (like walking her out the day we got the lorry out to go to Merrist wood and she started cantering round her box!) and our head girl who drew up a daily time-table so everyone knew what we were all doing!

It was made up:
7am - Breakfast, Danilon and homeopathic remedies.
8am - Magno pulse rug for 20 minutes, 1st tensol application, 40 mins turnout in LW rug.
9am - Bring in 2nd Tensol application, carrot stretches with Arnica.
11am - Magno pulse rug 20 minutes, 3rd Tensol application
1pm - In-hand walking for 20 minutes.
3pm - Magno Pulse rug 20 minutes, 4th Tensol, more stretches and Arnica.
4pm - LW rug for bedtime
6pm - Dinner, Danilon, homepathic remedies

She was obviously feeling better as she was back to her cheeky ways and more like the Diva we all know.

So physio arrived yesterday and the first thing she said was she is standing so much better, then she examined her and said she is nowhere near as sore

So I toddled off to get the cavesson as she wanted to see her move, I explained that Diva can be a bit of a loon on the lunge so she said we better put a roller on with some side reins, just to be on the safe side.

Now Diva has been an angel to lead, even led her round the hayfield to get her walking out and she has been as good as god - her main interest was eating the grass.

However, she saw the roller and started being a bit of brat, it was almost like she knew she was going to do something exciting.

I booted her up and gave her to OH, ( I am so brave... NOT!

)

He just quietly walked her round, or at least tried to! She gave a couple of leaps and then settled but you caould tell she was desperate to let off steam. So we put the side-reins on and...

SHE LET RIP! OMG I have never seen anything like it!

It was like the rodeo that PF posted a few weeks back. And there was nothing we could do. She absolutely turned her self inside out! To be fair she was really polite and is was a simple up and down with no twists directed at OH, which she has done in the past, but let's just say I am off to the vets to pick up some sedalin for today's session!

After about five minutes she settled and then was absolutely fine and looked to be moving really freely, her canter transitions were fab and she didn't buck or kick out in them.

The physio said to be honest I don't think this is a sacro illiac problem as she wouldn't be doing that!

She also said that if she was in serious discomfort she would not have been able to perform as she had.

I am really pleased that she is visibley better, I know we have a long way to go yet but I feel much happier, purely because I have 'Diva' back! She then treated her and let me use the FMB rug on her at the end

Instead of the rug I now have to use a hand-held massage unit and from today I can now lunge her with the help of some sedalin in side-reins, with some polework added in next week.

The saddler is back on Thursday to re-check the saddles and make sure that is not the cause.

Then the plan is to get OH back on. We will start with Diva in side-reins being lunged to get her warmed up then get him on and me walk them round the block. Building up to to removing the side-reins and hacking out with Hils and then being lunged in the school minus rider. To eventually lunging with a rider and then off the lunge to start schooling.

I really hope we have turned a corner, fingers crossed!

Well that all sounds very promising and she is obviously feeling so much better to be able to really let rip!!

Since our wedding I have really piled on the pounds, not helped by the fact that I have turned 30, am stuck in school all day and all of ours are now on full-livery.
This is the incentive I need so am going to go on Slim-fast to kick start my diet and then, do slimming world to maintain it.

Oh good to hear she's getting better hun - god tell me about loonies on the lunge, star is a nightmare and prob does do herself anygood!!!

We gave her some bute Weds night/thurs morn and got her in that night and she reared sooo high, pulled away and galloped of round the yard....do you think somone was feeling better?? lol. Wouldnt get tooo stressed out about her on the lunge tho, let her get some steam of her chest!! Out of interest, Maddie and her hock problem, what symptons showed with that???

oh she sounds like fun at the moment !! If you ask bell they can give you a prescription and you can get the sedaline half price off the internet !!! they send it to you 1st class mine always turns up a day after ! !

It is amazing what manipulation and heat treatment and general massage can do to help... many horses suffer from muscle fatigue, tightness which can lead to a multitude of "offish" behaviour.......glad she is back on form! Keep up the good work
