Ok well we didn't win or even make the top 10 but we did finish 20th out of 40!

OH has to compete in the open section so we were always going to be up against it. She got 64.4% with plenty of 7s and a the odd 8.

We are so pleased with her she did a lovely fluid test with just a blip in the first medium and the rein back but this currently where she is at.

She looked soft and flowing and it looked like both her and OH were having a fab time - which is more than can be said for some of the others!

She was unfazed by the atmosphere and tents etc and stood for most of the day on the lorry. After her test she had a massage from a new massage rug for horses which she LOVED! Seriously thinking about buying one - but at £2000 I need to seriously save first!

Very nice comments from all 3 judges - all three said that when the balance is sorted and she is more uphill she will be good!

So here ends the summer campaign. We have had a great time and she is now on holiday as we are off to Spain for 10 days.

If you were 20th with 64.4%, there must have been some mega scores at the top!
 
I think a big WELL DONE is in order. Open class is very scarey!!!

Thing that I think about is how "UP" do they want at Novice???

I had that comment too, but I am sorry, my horse is not ready yet and balance, rhythmn is all important but surely "UP" comes with more strength and as you beasty is not very old I am sure with more maturity and muscle will be more "UP" properly than others!!!

I think that your horse has much to give, and you are obviously taking your time, which I believe is the right ingredient for a horse that will last a long time and blossom with maturity!!!!!!!!

Shame we didn't see you today - Well Done anyway. Glad you enjoyed the day.
We have just returned from long day! My friend did Elementary restricted and was 6th out of 28 - So she was pleased with that - 64.01%. I had never been to Oldencraig so I really enjoyed the experience. We're hoping to take my boy there soon to do novice unaff.

I was thinking about it all last night but as I was at work I couldnt get to a computer.
