Anybody use this? What did you think?
Any good for a horse with a dust allgergy, and likes to eat straw? my horse is currently on shavings, but the man at YHL was adiment that my horse WOULD NOT eat this product, and as dustless as it can be!!

I like to use it mixed 50 - 50 with shavings.

It does have some dust, but no more than shavings.

There are two types as I recall, one is treated to make it unpalatable and is slightly more expensive.

I have had my horses nibble the odd mouthful when very hungry when I have used it by itself but not that much is eaten.

Muck out like shavings and more absorbant than straw but I personally prefer it mixed with shavings to give a bed that is more absorbant than straw plus with the advantage of less smell and looks more "comfy" than a normal shavings bed.

It is also about £1.50 - £2 a bale cheaper than shavings.

I have used this before with a pony who has a dust allergy. I quite liked it and it didn't look as messy as shavings sometimes can. Would definitely go for the lavender unappetising one as he tried to eat it then tasted the lavender...didn't eat any more!! L
