This is the inside of my box and i travelled my boy in it without partitions- however it became clear that i need them.

So...

I can either have herringbone or normal which would mean its rear unload which although he is ok with, i dont prefer.
My OH is a joiner and has offered to happily make them out of wood- but if i were to opt for herringbone would wood be strong enough as a frame for the whole partition? OR because its wood.. would people feel a standard middle parition which would be fitted and unmovable be the best?

Thanks :)

I don't think a wood frame would be strong enough. Pretty sure it needs to be a metal frame with wood within... but someone may know more than me. Just think the length of wood needed is such that the strength would be compromised.

You can sometimes find 2nd hand partitions for sale - may be worth ringing any local horsebox dealers, looking on Ebay, etc.

the partition in my 3.5t is wooden. It has a metal pole on each end to secure it in but the main body of it is just wood. It seems strong and sturdy enough to me.

South Wales- all the ones I have found are places like cheshire or Lancashire which are 4 hours away.
Paint me- is yours herringbone or down the middle?
