I know this is a regular but how much to you pay for grass diy livery as our yard have just announced a 22% increase just as we are going into the winter.
I pay £40 a week ATM which includes stable, superb grazing/TO, all my straw and hay, use of facilities, water etc.
It's going up to £43 a week in December though as YO says she hasn't upped her prices in 3 years so she needs to now, esp with problems getting hold of straw for us.
i pay £25 week for my own paddock and ad lib hay. my horses live out so dont have a stable. YO also feeds and puts hay out in the mornings for me. my shetland gets a discount and is £15 wk
£13 a week DIY but I keep him at a friends house so he gets put out for me in mornings during the week (I muck her horse out in return when she works late). Was the same price when he was living out in summer.
Just gone up to £27.50 p.w from £25 & for this I get paddock, stable, unlimited use of 20m x 40m menege & 20m x 40m indoor arena & a secure undividual personal tack room. Hay shavings etc I pay for separately.
£60.00 a week for 3 brick stables, 2 small barns, oodles of grazing and a tack/feed room. My friend and I rent together. I do mornings and she does evenings
Oh and 250 acres of farmland riding with fences for the hunt who ride through
I'll be charging about £45 - £50 per week for DIY, includes-

brand new american barn stabling
60 x 40 floodlit arena

wash room with hot water
toilet
shower
client's lounge

rug room
1 mile XC course
5 mile farm ride
horse walker
YO living on site
60 acres of turnout
I charged £25 per week for grass livery which included me checking them twice a day, poo picking and hay when they needed it.
You have to remember the increasing costs such as electricity, business rates, hay/straw, water, repairs, etc, etc. My yard is costing about £200k to start up!
£62.50 a month each, for a yard rented between four of us, new stone built stables, store room and twelve acres, do as we please!! Free use of 20x60m five minute hack away.
£20 per week for grazing and stable (limited winter T/O)
£21.50 per week for unlimited haylage and straw.
I'm thinking of going onto that miscanthus bedding this winter and deep littering though to reduce costs.
Oh, the £20 includes
>use of indoor arena when not in use by riding school,
>outdoor arena ,
>sand covered outdoor paddock (doubles up a winter turnout so not a menage as such),
>parking for horsebox if you have one,
>lockable tack room/feedstore,
>YO lives site,
>assisted DIY available pretty much 24/7 for very little extra cost,
>resonable local hacking, mostly roads but a lot of hills
>regular SJ shows on site
>instructors on site most days
>regular worming
>fields/fences maintained
>farrier on site once a week
I don't think it is particularly cheap but it isn't bad value for money either and I am very happy there.
i normally charge for Grass livery in winter £15 per week, Depending on size of pony/horse £6/9 per week towards hayledge, and £7 a week for me checking them and giving them their hard feed.
For the grass livery they get about 19acres of well draining land (2 fields with gates open) and there is a max of 8-10 horses/ponies. None of the fields are visible from the road so nice and secure! They have loads of field shelters to go at and normally get 6 bales of hayledge a week put in. They are also more than welcome to use one of the barns etc to groom etc and we have an indoor available for a small fee.
I feel really bad this winter as i am not taking on any new grass liveries as i am expecting twins and its me that feeds them! i've already turned a few people down but you never know, if the right person came along who was going to help feed etc - i would come to some arrangement with them!
The livery prices with stables and daily turnout vary.
How much is it going up to charlotten ?
(must say - crazy username as my name is charlotte and until next weekend when i get wed, my surname starts with a N!)
