DIY livery charges

i get-

*stable
*grazing
*lunge pen
*sand arena
*jumping paddock with jumps
*xc course (small but useful!)
*acres and acres of parkland and farmland to ride on.

...... for 120 pounds.

its expensive but the hacking makes up for it!

it varies round here. For a good DIY yard with indoor school, good sized stables, large paddocks, good hacking you'd be paying about 25 pounds a week.

I get turn out all year round, so long as fields are not totally boggy.
An alarmed tackroom.
A Stable.
An outdoor sand/rubber menege.
Free parking for trailers (if ever I get one).
For £80 per calendar month (Which I think is very good round my area).

until last year, i kept my horse with a friend....we hadY livery on 'mates rates'

we got:

10x10 stable
small paddock for 1 - 2hr per day
use of 40 x 40 school
reasonable hacking

for £100 per month...................

£25 per week for all year round turnout, stable, floodlit menage and lots of off road and farm hacking. £5 per month for trailer parking. £25 per month for unlimited haylage in winter.

currently paying £85 for an out door school which does flood, ok stables but some guttering is leaking, decent sized paddocks that we generally have to electric fence our selves and 1 haynet of hay per day but only from october to april not in summer, so most of us have bought our own. we've been told this is luxury and we have had to to good for too long! we arent even allowed to keep all of our horses possesions in the tack room, only a saddle and bridle and one plastic box per horse as the rest ' we cant use on a daily basis and is junk' as you can imagine this has caused extreme bad feeling on the yard.. just wondered if what we got was cheap or just the normal average price? what do you think?

£100 pcm. I get
stable
all year turnout
60x20 fantastic outdoor school
20x20 lunge arena
box parking.

My YO's are fantastic, they will turn out/bring in for no extra charge. My YO is also my instructor.

ooh, forgot to say that we get to store our tack in an alarmed tackroom and a 'store' each for our other stuff, ie our rugs, feed, hay, bedding,'junk' etc.

i have 2 stables, tackroom, 2 large paddocks witch is total 5 acres, tap water and electricity, 10 per horse per week, and i have sole use for my 3.

I pay £90 a week for the yard, thats a massive arena, 5 large fields and the large stables. Its in a good place for hacking. The yard is always secured with CCTV and alarms. Your on camera from the minute you go on the half mile lane.

YO makes sure that there is no one around unattended. He checks my lot every evening and when he gets up at 7am for work.

Arena has floodlights, stables have lights, i get a secure container for my food and tack room is also secured. I can definitely sleep well at night knowing my lot are safe.

DIY livery at my yard includes -

12x13 stable
25x60 floodlit school
9 acres of grazing (which is only used by 5 horses)
secure tack room
two stores
wash box

all for £80 a month

£97 per calender month gets me
All year turnout
indoor school . lights included
lovely new stable in large barn
He grows all his own straw haylage and hay but that is extra.

I pay £86/calendar month. That's for my TB and 2 shetlands at grass with field shelter, tack room, wash room etc. There are stables but don't use them. In winter it's an extra £44 a month for ad lib haylage for all three.

i get a huge stable (otto looks lost in it ) which is in a barn, back room to store all the stuff/feed in. all year sand/rubber school with floodlights, use of jumps, all year turnout, off road hacking, free parking for the lorry..£100 per month for first 2 horses and £80 per month for the third one

Oh my God, and I thought we had bargain rates here in Stocking Pelham (obviously EVERYONE'S wealthy in Hertfordshire!!!) .......£20 per week for stabling and grazing.......and nothing else! I know of people who pay more than twice that for similar plus arena around here! (Hacking is amazing and horses are so close we can walk to them!) Any other locals to compare with????

£15 a week for stable, own tack room and field, which is all year round turnout and 24/7 at the mo. Also access to sand/rubber menage at the other yard which is a 10 minute road hack but not bad as horse is warmed up by the time we get there. The hacking is fanatastic acres of off road all year round for £80 a year in Euston Park. They are currently making new paddocks for my boy and building a menage in his old field so then we can have our own menage with no road hack and therefore be able to ride all the way through winter during the week.
