my partner is looking for DIY livery for 2 horses which she hopes to move down in March. I am living in the St thomas/Alphington end of Exeter and really would like somewhere that end of the city.

Sorry I know nothing about horses and am just doing the spade work. I think
she would prefer a smaller yard or may settle for just grazing with some shelter. Thanks for your help.

was going to say oaklands as well but its quite big.

I would suggest going into the horsey shop (farmer and friend i think its called!?) just after the St Thomas railway bridge on the left (opposite the bank) and ask in there, I bet they will know loads of places in addition to having a notice board. I used to live just north of Exeter until a year ago but I think most places I know would be too far away

Upton pyne have a DIY Barn and Hyperion (Very busy!) sometimes have spaces. Look on the boards (Town and country usually have loads!) and you'll find somewhere:)

Did exactly the same last year and Hyperion had space for my two boys. Moved on now to our own place but can recommend Hyperion as a friendly yard, well run with excellent facilities and hacking out.

Ehm, if you're thinking of going to Town & Country to have a nosey at their notice board, basically they've been taken over by Countrywide and haven't organised a notice board at the mo - pretty blimmin useless IMO!

Sorry can't help re. livery. I'm over to the east of Devon so don't know much about the Exeter area westwards really.

There is a notice board at Orchard Nurseries on the Tedburn St Mary road - they are not just a garden centre but also sell feed. Various places in the Ide/Tedburn/Longdown area advertise there from time to time. You might want to place your own ad there as well. The garden centre at Ide may also know the various places around Ide.
