Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good, reasonable livery yards in and around Edinburgh.
Currently I am at my friends yard which is fantastic, nice stables good sized fields no school but a field for schooling with some jumps. Anyway this was her family home and circumstances have changed (very messy) which means that the farm has to be put up for sale :(. So i need to find somewhere nice for miss dior. Any help would be much appreciated :)

Whare about in edinburgh are you looking, also what's your budget? There are some lovely diy yards out towards musselburgh

Think there may be some spaces on our yard, we're just on the outskirts of Penicuik, theres no school but similar idea, space in the field and jumps.
24/7 turnout but it can be really muddy.

I am looking for around central edinburgh and midlothian area, budget would be up to £35 pw at a max. gillianfleming - where about near penicuik is your yard? musselburgh would also be handy its not to far from where I live.

in musselburgh theres hillhead (we kept out horses there for a few years) its lovely, nice stables, fields 24/7 grazing offerd and a lovely school but its £45 a week including hay / haylidge and straw.

theres the new one samuleston thats just outside haddington, indoor school for 9 months of the year then a grass school is provided. nice grazing and boxes. £30 a week for just box and field

theres also morton mains / swanston that are up by the bypass near the pentlands not sure how much they are though and i know swanston has a waiting list.

oxenford, just outside pathhead seems lovely and i think there about £30 a week box and grass but im not 100% certan. 2 schools and nice hacking.

hmmmm give me a while and im sure ill think of more lol hubbies a farrier round here so iv been to most lol

i could list tons with pros and cons but will not on a public forum lol, think our yard will have grass with a box come up soon, its £120 per month with all of the pentlands to hack around and a grass school.
