I have a stable reserved at the moment that is in Stanway, I have just secured myself a job that is on the other side of town and would mean my travelling would be awful..so I am going to see what is about in terms of decent livery yards in this area....the work is in Elmstead Market I wouldn't have much time to spend with horse really if I was stuck in traffic as Colchester is awful for :(

I am looking for decent size stables, good turnout all yr needed, good hacking, any facilities would also be suitable as I would be doing quite a bit of schooling and jumping etc.
Friendly atmosphere is a must lol and preferably not a BIG yard either, not really keen on them anymore, unless it really is fantastic and friendly.

If I don't find another place I will just have to struggle on.

Have you looked on the notice board at priory saddlery or kiln saddlery? They usually have colchester yards advertising there.

Or wix equestrian centre? they have livery on their notice board.

I forgot to say most yards in the elmstead area do not have all year turn out. We do but it is a mud bath by the end of winter as we're all on clay.

Makes sense, good livery is very hard to find.

Might be worth asking in the saddler's and see if they know anyone.

What's your horse like? and I'll ask around.

How far from Elmstead are you happy to travel?
