I'm going to be moving down to essex in September 2015 to study at Writtle college, I would love to take my horse with me but would need a affordable livery yard to able to do it! So anyone out there knows of a nice yard near or in Writtle that I could get in touch with so I can start planning the big move 😃

Also i would love to here from anyone has studied there or is going to, I'm getting rather excited and nervous already!!!

I'm not sure about Writtle but there are some DIY yards in both high wood and Roxwell, which aren't more than 15 mins from writtle. There's an Essex horse riders group on fb (the one with over 10k members rather than the other ones!), you will likely get a lot of info from there if you join and post x

I went to Writtle many moons ago. Friend was liveried in Roxwell. The whole area is v horsey, you'll have no problem finding somewhere.

My daughter is there at the moment - started September this year. There are lots of yards in the local area and also a few spaces for students horses at the college yard. Might be worth contacting them if you want to get in early. My daughter is loving the course and so happy that she turned down her offers for psychology then reapplied via extra for an equine course. She followed her heart and hasn't looked back :)
