I was thinking as I mucked out this morning just how much exercise I get mucking/skipping/poo picking/carting/carrying, etc., so I thought for fun I'd start a thread extolling the physical/health-giving virtues of taking care of a horse . . .
Mucking out - good for triceps and core muscles
Carrying water buckets - works those biceps
Pushing full barrow up muck heap - works glutes and thigh muscles
Forking up muck - works core muscles and triceps
Poo picking - core muscles, lower back and triceps
Hauling heavy/wet haynets out of soaking trough - core muscles, biceps and triceps
Hanging up said heavy haynet - biceps and core muscles
Anything else?
