Hi everybody

Firstly a little intro as this is my first post- been following this forum for years and love it!
Me: 23, been riding and owning nags since 7 years old. Currently abroad, learning continental style dressage and horsemanship while working in denmark, been a real eye opener how they differ from UK horse methods etc, but its time to come home now, so dragging the OH (who is finnish), doggies, bunnies, horsy etc back to UK.
My current horsy: 6 month old adorable dark chocolate, almost black anglo arabian colt (soon gelding) german bred.

So my question is:

Im moving to a new house in Bushey, Herts in December, not from the area at all, im originally from south yorks and been abroad for ages, so im totally lost when it comes to livery ideas!

Main concern is location- I dont have a car for the next 6 months or so so it needs to be either biking distance or easy with public transport. What im looking for is a yard offering DIY, all year turnout, at least 1 outdoor arena and ideally a lunging roundpen but thats more a wish than anything. My horse will be around 8 months when i manage to ship him over, so it needs to be a yard that will accept youngsters willingly, but doesnt necessarily need seperate turnout/other babies as he is used to mixing with his elders.

The one ive been looking at most is Caldecote, as its nearest geographically, I sent them an email but they havnt got back to me- and im a little bit concerned because ive heard some really mixed reviews about the place. If anybody knows any details id be grateful, also price range as its not stated on their website. Other than that does anyone know of any other yards in the area? Perhaps those hidden gems that dont advertise online much?

Thanks in advance! :)

I don't know what it's like now but when I was there it was great. They have an outdoor and indoor arena, quite a few stables and the mares and geldings had separate turnout. X

I'm not sure how far Chandlers cross is but look up Potten Farm. Nice big stables, some with tack rooms at the back, huuuuge menage, horse walker, over night TO during the summer, track round the edge of the farm to ride and good hacking near by. It wasn't too expensive either when my friend was there.

Cowley Hill does look really good- but im totally confused how one would get from Bushey to there via public transport? I tried using that transport info gov site thing but it said it would take me well over an hour as it seemed to take a huge loop to the north. Is there a quicker way?
