I'm moving to work in Cambridge soon and looking for a yard offering diy livery in the area. I'm going to be living in Lower Cambourne so anywhere between Cambridge and St Neots would be ideal. Near St Ives would also be good as long as it's on the South or East side of town. Looking for a place with good grazing, all year turnout (24 hour in summer) and an arena - indoor or outdoor all weather and floodlit.

Grateful for any suggestions:)

I don't know of anywhere personally, but recommend you take a look at the website for Biggleswade Saddlery and www.horsepoo.co.uk. Both advertise livery vacancies.

The Barn Shop at Bassingbourn and Frontier at Sandy both have large noticeboards for livery vacancies. There are saddlers in St.Ives (Heather Lewin) and Huntingdon, so both might have suggestions.

If you want all year turn out, be careful to ensure that this definitely happens at the yard.

Good luck

....You'll be lucky!!!!

There is Cullum Farm Stables in St Ives which I think has a school; other than that, I dont know which livery yards offer everything you want!! They are either part/full livery or diy yards with no school!!!

Firs Farm don't do DIY livery anymore.....

You may find a small private yard with a space....I would think looking for ads in the Barn Shop or Frontier would be best for ads.

Edited to add, if you have a gelding, there is a yard at Croxton....I cant think of the name of it, but I think there is a small school you can have access to and they have turnout all year, but they dont take mares. If you want the number/name PM me and I can find it out....
