Following an incident at the yard yesterday were YO moved £70 of my hay into the rain & damaged 2 wheelbarrows including my newish big one & didn't even have the decency to say anything to me I (& another livery) are absolutely fuming. I've been at the yard over 3.5 years. Always pay my bills on time, am tidy, try to help elderly YO when I can. I change the way I do things when her random whims mean that how she has wanted something done for the last 6 months is now completely wrong & generally try to be a good livery. But quite frankly I have got fed up of being treated as a nuisance rather than as a customer. Yard is very basic, completely DIY with no additional services. Price is probably on a par with most DIY yards around here so not like I'm getting a huge bargain. The only reason to stay is the winter turnout is good. All happened because she decided she wanted someone's straw somewhere else (another whim - it's been in the old place for well over a year with no problem!) without warning us so we could move stuff out of the way.
So time to look around & see what else is out there. I'm in Riseley so anything within 5 miles of there. Keysoe turnout is v limited in winter & I would pay a fortune to have my 2 turned out & brought in, though the facilities are tempting.
I've got 2 cobs. Happy to go to a small private yard. School would be nice but not a must have. Winter turnout is essential.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Think the other livery might be interested in anything Rushden way.
