JUST WANDERED IF THIS WAS OK FOR DIY HAVE BEEN PAYING £55 A WEEK

Its pricey for DIY, but generally DIY doesn't have the facilities you describe so its a good price

Just seen it also includes hay/ hayledge straw so sounds like a bargain!

Sound like a bargain I pay £40 a week for stable field hay and 1 bag of shavings a week with no facilities and depending on what area of the country you are finding a diy yard is like finding rocking horse poo. The problem nowadays is with the cost of rates and insurance and land rent most yards have gone part livery to full liveryto make ends meet

I pay £25 a week,(facilities not really!) buy all my own hay, feed and bedding on top of that. I have had yards before offer hay etc included and then be really stingy so I'd only get it myself. If you are actually getting good hay feed etc and with those facilities that seems quite a sweet deal tbh

To me it is a bit pricey but then again you do get a lot included in it :) Mines at a diy stable it’s £25 a week we have straw included, water, electric and pretty big stables grazing in summer and winter paddock that gets trashed! but apart from that nothing else
It is a working farm tho so we get go all over his fields :)
Wouldn’t mind paying more if I had somewhere to ride and have lessons :/

I pay 45 a week ad-lib hay, large well maintained outdoor arena. Hot wash area very large rubber matting stables and mud free turn out- as many hours out as you like either shared/ individual good grazing or restricted as required + lovely yard owener and fellow liveries. So on a par I’d guess as slightly less facilities

I wouldn't call it a bargain per se, but seems like you have good facilities and with feed/hay included, works out as good value!

I moved from a yard that was a 20min drive away that cost £35 a week per horse to one that is 5mins away and £30 a week
probably saving £600 a month, it was all the little extras that added up, times three as I have that many horses.
Turn out was £200 a month at the old yard now I do it for nothing myself.
Hay was a big expense at £5.90 a bale with each horse eating 5 a week when in. Straw was £3.60 a bale which is strong I now use the 8ft bales which work out around a £1 for the same amount. £30 to park two horse boxes was ok but it does not cost anything at the new yard.
And fuel to get to the yard probably saving £70 a month

Where abouts are you? I think thats pricey. Part livery near me is £40-60 a week with good facilities and hay/straw included! Feeling a little smug ;) Im in the East Mids!

Yeah, my thoughts too. I don't think 60 quid a week is a bargain, but I would 100% pay it providing it had the facilities you describe.

Crikey. I'm having a nightmare looking for livery. At this rate I'll take anything - DIY, assisted, Part or Full and it's still like finding a needle in a haystack if you want anywhere with an arena that isn't going to leave you bankrupt!

My latest quote for Part livery was £150 a week.

Gosh...the most expensive place around here is £500 a month for full livery but with ALL the trimmings!!! We dont have many places with winter turnout though which is a real shame.

For Full I've had everything from 500 (which didn't include exercise - had to pay extra for that) to 880.

Did also have a quote for 455 for Full - yard had no facilities and horses are boxed 24/7 when the fields are churned.

We get our own field, 12x12 airy indoor stables, owner on site, walker, outdoor school (old small one at present, mahoosive one being built when it stops raining) for £25 pw.
Have to provide hay and bedding, do our own poo picking, giving feeds and bringing in etc is all extra and I think where she earns her money tbh as it doesn't half mount up!
BUT it's such a lovely yard :)

I pay £48 pw for large stable, individual paddock with water (my mare shares with daughter's gelding) use of three outdoor arenas, unlimited hay/haylage and straw. Moved just over a year ago to this yard, last yard was £25 pw for 12x12 stable, small individual paddock and small indoor school. You had to do all your own maintenance and fencing, and had to buy own hay and straw.

Next door part is £ 130 I think - I put my part up £ 3 per week instead of £ 2 extra from £ 102 to £ 105 (as it goes up in January each year,) and one of my liveries frowned on me. I mean £ 3 extra per week for Part livery 7 days a week, don't they have pay rises etc more than that.
