This is how I charged my Boarders, if they wanted indoor board then they paid for it regardless if the horse was out 24/7 or not, their choice. If they wanted to change to pasture board then they lost the right to the use of a stable, and if I had rented it to someone else then it was their loss.

I would never have used a rented stable for another boarder though.

I had spare stalls for emergencies.

This makes perfect sense, thank you. I am thinking that the stable incident was a one off. I'll be sure to double check though. Thanks again.

I pay different rates. £165 winter stabled, £135 winter 24/7 turnout & £100 24/7 summer turnout. Able to use all facilities when on 24/7 turnout. Most of the stables are empty from March-October apart from YO 10 or so stables. Liveries can use a stable whenever we need one day/overnight/few hours etc at no extra cost we just pay a few quid for feed/bedding. Most liveries stick to the same stable year round so other liveries just stick to their own. Very few stable much over summer months

Most yard charge the same all year round. You dont have to keep the horses out 24/7, so your stables are there for your use.

Having some one use your stables though isnt fair.
One of in an emergency yes.
You need to speak to yard owner.

I pay a standard rate year round whether horses are in or out- the stable is reserved for my use. I would complain about another horse going in there though!
