Hi,

I wondered if you could help, I am looking for livery in Surrey, the Chertsey/Chobham/Weybridge/Hersham Areas. I live and work in Sunbury so don't want to be a million miles away!

I would prefer DIY but would consider Assisted, What places do you guys know of?

Since a few yards have shut down the past few years spaces are so few and far between i can't find anything.... eg pannells farm has livery for 1 gelding, I need spaces for 1 mare and 1 gelding!

Not too fussy, would just like good turnout and a decent school.

TIA!

Have you tried facebook groups?
Surrey horse and pony
Surrey Livery offered/wanted
and Horsey stuff for sale/wanted

The 1st one has a lot of traffic.

Also have you tried the notice boards at Buttons (West end) and Chobham Rider? Both these had local livery spaces on as of last Friday.

Good luck :)

I am on the first FB page, just joined the second one, never even heard of it before, Thankyou!!! x

Harrow farm in charlton village was advertising DIY vacancies on the Countrywide notice board a week or two ago - haven't been back since so don't know if they've filled them or not.

There's also Manor farm in Chartlon village for very cheap part / full but probably not likely to have vacancies

not far from pannels it might be worth looking in Lyne. Riverdales have had a few vacancies lately and I think do assisted or there's Fairview farm in Lyne Close, Virginia Water but essentially it's in Lyne - think they've had vacancies recently too but never see them advertise.

in Chertsey there is or used to be Abbey Chase between the bridge and town centre although never been there and Got a feeling they may not have a school.

Agree though the DIY / assisted situation is getting really bad in the area now :(

Thanks very much, I am currently at one of the Charlton Village yards (not saying which one) and i really do not recommend unless you are into large amount of politics and love bitchy people! Will check out the others, thanks though x

Abbeychase is nice, good hacking but no school although Sophie brown has one literally across from that yard that you can hire or maybe she will have vacancies.
Theres an ad for a yard in Chobham at the moment on fb, think she said its £220 for assisted.

Have you had a look in Chobham rider if there are any adverts up? It was a while since i was down that area so can't recommend anything in specific. I remember there used to be adverts up in Merrist Wood too.
