other factors are how far it is away from you house, is anyone on site, anyone responsible and available to assist you if you could not make it to the stables etc etc
TBH the best deciding factor is to look around your local area and see what you can get for your money.......

here you can expect to pay anything from £125 - 250 DIY, I have seen a gorgeous yard that is £180 for stable and grazing and all yr t/o, hay is £20p month but thats ad lib....with the best facilities.

I pay £25 a week on a yard with v.good facilities (indoor/outdoor schools etc) so no more than £20 if there's no school.

I am just moving to a new yard that is £160 per month, including use of all facilites (2 x arenas, horsewalker, small xc course) and including hay and straw.

Think it really depends where you are in the country....

I pay 20 per week in summer, that's with stable, turn out, small school and good hacking. In winter we bring them in overnight so we pay 30 per week including all the above plus shavings and hay. In summer we pay an extra 60p for hay, fiver for a bag of shavings etc

Blimey I need to move!!!
We pay £40 per week per horse (and I have 4!) and that is considered normal round here.
That is for stable and field, we have indoor and outdoor schools.
