anyone got any amzing cheap ideas on how to build a rug rack? In case YO won't let me screw one into wall need ideas for hanging one as have a have a sturdy bean I could hang it from.

thanx!! xx

Beat me to it or you could just use a strong line of rope. A washing line is cheap but it would need to be folded so it's 6 or 8 strands thick to take the weight of a wet rug. Or you could get one of those over the door hangers with four hooks on, they're cheap as well just don't put them too high else you won't reach but ideally, the bottom of the rug needs to clear the floor too.

I bought two bike "hangers" from Lidls for around £5, they are simply two hooks (for either end of your bike frame), attached to pulleys. Slotted a piece of scaffold tube onto the hooks, fixed the pulleys to an overhead beam, hey presto rug hangers that you pull up out of the way. If you can't get them anymore you should be able to buy the pulley system from the old fashioned overhead laundry racks.

I have a clothes rail from ikea. Was no more than a tenner and takes plenty of rugs. It's also on wheels so I can move it around!
