Aw no Mrs M, so sorry that the vet thinks that. There's still hope though, don't give up. Chin up, lots of hot choccy and hugs. Hopefully they will find it's not the pelvis. Does he not think she could have knocked her hock or twisted it or anything?
Keeping everything crossed for good news and sending all the healing vibes i've got xxxx
Oh MrsM I'm so sorry. I know you adore that mare and I wish this weren't happening to you and her and your family. Lots of love and if there's any glimmer of hope hold on to it and we all will too xxx
For those who don't know, I lost my first horse last Octoboer to chronic suspensory ligament damage in her hind legs, despite only being four and a half. I'd had her for a year almost to the day when she was PTS. She too was treated like a princess, ridden (when she could be) quietly and calmly as befitted her age and inexperience. Maybe I should stop caring and just treat everything roughly and not care and that way they won't break any more.
Sorry. I love my Dizzy one and to see her hurting and to know what the future probably holds for my beautiful, kind, quirky girl. Oh to be stoic and controlled and pragmatic, instead of the gibbering wreck I feel myself sliding into.
Thank you again everyone. Will update when I know more from Newmarket and the NFU.
Am keeping everything crossed it is not too bad news when she get assesed at newmarket.
You really have been through the run of the mill, surely its time you had some long awaited well deserved good luck . It seems to me your horses want second to none. Was so pleased to see her off late when she seemed to be getting stronger, and putting on weight, and all the hard work you put in seemed to be being rewarded. and now this!
Thank you to all. Sorry I haven't replied to each one. Can't quite. And thank you for all the pms. Went to see her this evening on the way home from work. Stood in her stable and talked and cried, and she ate hay and mugged me for Polos. A friend brought her in and another walked her up. But the oddness is still there. It's the worst that I've seen.
