She loaded fine, with the aid of half a packet of Polos

. So fine in fact that she jumped the ramp!

What poorly back end?! Add her leg waving antics when her travel boots went on and one really has to question the poorly pelvis thing (I know it's there, I've seen the x-rays, but you know what I mean

).

Travelled very well. Sweated up slightly as was a very warm day. Settled quickly once we got there. Whickered when she saw me after we'd done the paperwork, which made me feel good and tugged at the heart strings at the same time.

Sue Dyson will see her at two tomorrow. I can ring after five.

So now, like so many others, we wait.

We will all be waiting for good news!!!

Now a large glass of wine and feet up for the night!!!

She went lame (totally out of the blue) last Sunday. My vet worried that it was the pelvis issue. Decided to send her to Sue Dyson at the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket. Sue sees her at two tomorrow.

How's The Bean doing?

Righty Ho then Mrs M we need your coping Timetable fessed up you know you need one.
When my mare had to go off for investigations and potential colic surgery I cleaned my cooker (Properly) and went on a trip to the seaside checking my mobile pphone every 2 minutes.

So from what I see of your post :

a) you need to get a decent nights sleep - alcohol is rubbish to help unless you take enough to stop yourself waking up at 2am and worrying your socks off.

If you go down the alcohol route then you need to wear some stout bedsocks to worry off!! Please photograph and post as evidence if this is your choice.

I would recommend i) a cuddle ii) a glass of milk iii) a banana

b) you need to have a plan of stuff to keep you occupied between waking up at some god awful hour and waiting until 2pm attempting to mind read. There must be some sort of garbage task to do that is so awful you save it for horse worrying. ( How come everyone writes books about Horse Whispering and NOONE has written one about Horse Worrying perhaps you could start one tonight)

c) you need another plan to fill the gap between 2pm and 5pm.

d) You need to plan what you will do if you ring at 5pm and find that due to mitigating circumstatces ie a Horse with an emergancy races into the way and Sue hasnt finished looking at Dizzy when you phone having sat watching the clock and wondering how many seconds after 5pm is acceptable when ringing after 5.

Sorry its a bit long but you must understand I know how you feel and so many of us have been there so I challenge you - publish your coping plan.

If it involves making any sort of cakes please let me know first.

Glad Dizzy travelled ok and has settled in. Sending more ((hugs)) and <<<vibes>>> for tomorrow.

I'm sure it will be positive news

Will watch for the update

Hope it all goes well tomorrow, don't usually coment but hav been following yours and Dizzy's progress - everything is crossed.

Barkin'. Absolutely barking mad

.

Well. Okay. Coping plan....

Go to bed... at some point... may be having a bath at midnight!
Get up at half-six. Amended: alarm will go off at half-six unless I've already switched it off....
Get up and leave house sometime before half-seven.
Spend next hour and a half listening to favourite tracks in the car and crying a lot.
An hour in the office working on something super-duperly important that I'll have to concentrate on.
Meetings from half-past ten 'till six o'clock, all about things that put my life into perspective.
Six o'clock on the dot, ring SD.
Six-something 'till an hour and a half later, in car either crying or quietly happy.

Been checking here during the day for updates. Good news so far. Glad she got there looking cheerful. Good luck tomorrow and lots of vibes coming your way. I'll have everything crossed for you - be interesting seeing me climb three flights of stairs like that but still...it'll be worth it for good news!!!

I really hope you'll get good news

I'll be thinking of you... re Beans, I got back on her for the first time in 6 weeks today, and she was declared sound by the vet

Sorry that probably could come at a worse time for you to hear that, but I have everything crossed for a quick recovery for Diz x
