We've been having quite a lot of allergy issues with my 6 month old Bernese puppy, which I realise is fairly common for the breed. Thus far we've established a likely chicken allergy but today we ended up in the emergency vets for some sort of extreme environmental allergy on our walk and I'm fairly certain that there may be other allergies there we haven't identified yet. My partner is really keen to get one of the online 'DNA Allergy' tests, apparently his friend swears it worked miracles for his dog.

I'm mega sceptical, I simply cannot see how these can be accurate. Having had an allergic horse and gone down the trial and error then patch testing route, surely it cannot be as simple as an online postal test for dogs? Has anyone has any experience using them?

There are NO validated tests for food allergies in pets currently. Only environmental
