well i have never known what breed my horse is, I know that she is arab and maybe crossed with something. I have no past papers of her, and somebody metioned to me a while ago about DNA testing, they didnt know much about it and was just wondering if anyone could clarify this for me?
Could this actully tell me what breed she is?? And if all details are welcome!
Anything would help as i know nothing about this
Thanks

Post a piccy!! It's more fun to guess! Sorry, don't know about DNA testing for breed confirmation - just parentage/ID confirmation.

theres some piccies what do you guess???

dont look like she is! looks similar to my friend mare only shes bay! and shes full arab to! now i may be wrong but to me she looks all arab! or if she is crossed with anything its not showing!!

I would say she might be crossed with a TB type - that will give you an Anglo-Arab type which she resembles. Arab horses' features are fairly dominant even if you add a lot of other blood so hard to say for sure.
As to the tail - Arab horses (pure bred) have much straighter back (sacrum area) which goes almost flat into the tail bone. She seems to have a nicer bum than pure Arabs.
I have never heard of DNA testing for breeding either.
