Ive been looking at saddles recently, seen a really nice Albion K2, medium wide, however from my experience, and this is only with Albion dressage saddles, they come up a bit narrower than other brands?

The saddle Im looking at is a GP, and my boy is a medium, however Im wondering if he would need a medium wide in Albion?

Its an ebay thing so if it didnt fit I would just stick it back on there, but wondering if I should bid or not.
Ive asked for the gullet measurement and it sounds about right I think.

Does anyone own this saddle?

I don't have this particular saddle. I do however have a Legend GP MW which fits our H.weight cob & an 18h Shire cross, so I don't think that the Legends are narrower that a MW fit should be. I have used a MW Albion d.sage saddle on the cob & it was finr.

Bloss's Albion is MW and was fitted by a professional, shes MW in other saddles too

I have had the M the M/W and the M/N. in K2 jumping saddles but the albion tree is the same for the GP K2 and dressage. The medium fits my 17hh ID and my 15.3 warmblood. The medium wide fitted an overweight fully muscled 17.1 who then lost weight and fits the M. The N/M fitted my 16.3 with no withers and it was usels for anyone else as too tight.

My horse had a medium fit Bates plate in his jump saddle and a medium albion dressage saddle, so would say they are roughly about right! However, Albion trees have changed recently, they TB tree used to have big points which means some shapes it just would not fit, the WB tree had smaller points. In the last few years they have vchanged the tree design, so the points aren't as long. So depends on how old the saddle is to what tree it has...so whether it is likely to fit!!
