Have got a lovely 3 year old on trial with view to buy that instructor has noticed has false curbs. Doesnt affect his movement in any way.

Would this put you off?

Plan for him was prelim/novice dressage and some small hunter trials and sj up to maybe 3ft max.

Going to get him vetted but any experinces welcome.

False curbs are just where the bone in the hock is prominent level with where a curb forms, giving the visual impression of a curb. It is not an unsoundness but a conformation fault as it is a sign of weak hocks (often seen with sickle hocks). I wouldn't worry about it unless the hind limb conformation was very poor which would be more of a concern anyway!

Thanks for that they dont bother me at all just dont want them to cause issues later on. Got vetting next week so will see what they say
