They have made me some supplements and suggested some others to use for my two horses. Just a bit hesitent to spend a lot of money. Have people tried their supplements and do they work/help the problem?

Thanks x

Are these the people that look at your horse and then tell you what supplements they need? If so from what I have heard it all seems a bit fishy to me!

Although every horse will be different, I can honestly say that they work for my horse. He is 22 years old and was diagnosed with bilateral hock arthritis two and a half years ago. He had joint injections and was put on a veterinary grade joint supplement whilst covered by insurance. Once that ran out I was loathe to spend £80 every six weeks and tried virtually every joint supplement on the market in a bid to find something that helped keep him sound and off danilon. Hack up bespoke joint/AI formula for him does just that and costs me less than £20 a month. I would recommend trying it.

No. In my case, Alex spoke to me on the phone about the specific issues with my horse, and then made a suggestion, which has worked very well. I've since had the formulation tweaked to include a broad spectrum vit and min element, and a digestive/detox element. He's a very experienced rider and trainer in addition to his supplement guru-ishness, and his approach is that of an experienced horseman, not a smoke and mirrors "let me ask your horse what he needs" sort of thing!

I use a digestion and a joint supplement from then for my two, and they not only feel great but they look it too... Ron's found his extended trot at 20, and the rather arthritic Tom has rediscovered all the spring he had as a youngster. I'm so impressed. What's more, Tom can be really fussy about what goes in his feed, but he eats both supplements without a problem. I even offered him a tiny bit straight from my hand and he gobbled that straight down and bugged me for more!

I have an 18 year old ex racer who was struggling with stiffness, with veterinary advice we tried bute but it just didn't seem to touch him. I now have him on a joint supplement from hack up & I can see a difference. I'm not going to lie and say it's a miracle as my horse has other problems which do not help, but I have noticed he is a lot more comfortable these days while on the supplement. Would highly recommend their products.

Not a bit 'fishy' - Alex and I had an initial conversation about the problems my horse was having before commencing his bespoke supplement, and at once it was apparent that I was spending far too much money on supplements (for movement related issues, mainly) for which reason we agreed on a formulation and LO AND BEHOLD - not only was it more effective than the usual joint supplement, I was DELIGHTED to find that my horse's unsightly capped hock had completely disappeared!! A very welcome but unexpected side effect!!

Well worth every penny!! And often times, he'll even throw in a free coat!! And if at any time you feel that you may need to adjust your formulation - it's done, can't ask for much else really!! :)

I use their bespoke supplement-digestive with calming stuff in (as one of mine had ulcers). I've used it on all four of ours over winter and they love it. I'm very pleased with it.

I seem to be the only one whose horse hasn't been cured sadly

I don't think for a minute that my horse has been "cured"! I do however, feel that his supplement does what it was purchased to do- it eases the symptoms of his compromised joints, and makes him feel much more comfortable than he has done on any other joint supplement.

Poor choice of word. I have used them on 2 of mine and not seen any significant difference
