I got mine soaking wet tonight as the heavens opened when we were schooling. Afterwards he disdainfully refused the 2nd 1/2 of an apple and he has never refused an apple before. So, do horses sulk?

My horse certainly does! If i haven't spent enough time with him or if i stand talking to someone outside his stable for too long he will turn his bum to the door when i try to say goodnight to him. Even bribery with a polo will not make him turn around!!

oh yes.

My children's pony was left in today as he is on restricted grazing and i had to go out for the day. I went down mid afternoon to turn him out for a couple of hours and he turned his bum on me and refused to look at me. I had to bribe him to have his headcollar on (he's normally eager to get out).

When I fetched him in he looked at me asif to say "what? already?" and walked back to the yard with his chin almost on the floor ... "doh, I'll come in if I have to, but I shan't speak to you... " and he sulked until tea time (pulling faces and even not responding when offered a carrot).

Mine does. Big time. On the rare occasions when I leave the country for more than four days, I come home and she won't be caught. It generally takes about three weeks to get back to normal so not only does she sulk, she holds a grudge aswell!

If I'm 5 minutes late getting up to him in the morning as soon as he sees me get out my car he turns around and places his bum at the door!!

Oh most definatley. Amy never did (not to my face anyway...).

Thumper though? - OMG what a matyr to the cause. Bless him.

Poutu sulks something rotten! If she is woken up, has no hayledge when she is tied up or if she thinks that she should stay out a bit longer she as a face on her like a slapped backside!

Ooo mine does that as well with his bum and he doesn't need any reason at all to be in a sulk (bit like his owner

). He was in a grouch the other evening and when I went in the stable he turned his bum to me. When I then moved round the stable he kept shifting round so that his bum was permanently pointing at me. Stupid horse

oh yes mine certainly does - few days not being ridden she has a right bag on pushing and grumping in stable - take her out then fine - in mornings when she has finished breakfast and im still mucking out round her she looks at me then if hay not in rack or headcollar not being put on to go out she stands all over where i am trying to clean up, shoves me with nose then if that fails she backs up to me - turns head so she can see what she is doing - she has got manners ive just made her sound awful! she makes me laugh in the mornings with her ways of irritating me so much that i just put the muck fork down and go and put her in field
