I have seen a lot of people saying that horsey people smell

do you think horsey people smell bad ?

I don't think I smell bad but I am not sure haha

My dad says i smell like a "skunk trappers sock" some days after mucking out :D:D

I love the smell of horses.... peepee straw not so mcuh:p

I often get told "god you smell of the horses" but I think they mean just the horse in general rather poo etc...well I hope not anyway ha ha!

I like the smell of horse on your hands! Ha ha 😃😍😍

Apparently I do I walked into the house the other night after being at the yard and went to give oh a kiss and he practically pushed me away and said bloody hell you stink :D my car although looks nice from the outside stinks of horse pee always have to apologise if anyone non horsey gets in the car !

I suppose I smell of horses when I've just got home from the stables, but I shower immediately then I have no complaints :)

I'm reliably informed I utterly stink when I come home from a day's work at the riding school / livery yard! I usually walk in the door and am ordered straight into the shower. Its not the horsey smell he objects to, more the horse pee I think :-)

Maybe after scrubbing out a box and moving minging mats all day but generally they smell of horses, how can that be bad !!!! :p:p:eek::p:D

OH says YES YES YES!!!

I have to shower as soon as I get in :(

TBF he's getting a bit more relaxed... a year or so back I'd have to clean my teeth as well as he didn't trust me not to kiss him straight after kissing the horse!

as soon as i arrive home im ordered to go to the garage and to get my clothes off  dont i feel loved! and those funny looks i get in the supermarket after being to the yard... its the haylage that makes it worse though

I love the smell of horses :D

My parents think I smell though. My Mum says my car makes her feel sick and they always tell me to get changed as soon as I come in.

Just get a sweatshirt with this on like I did! (eBay personalised hoodies)

When my horse was on straw, I stank. When he was on shavings, nothing and on pellets, no smell. Mostly, it was my boots which can easily be kicked off at the door. Hugging your pony is apparently not helpful :o

Yes. I love the horses to bits, but I do not spend a moment longer than I have to in smelly horse clothes, I even leave boots and jackets in tack room and shuffle barefoot up to the house. I never understand why some horsey women live in clothes that smell of poo.

Yes, we stink! But I don't care, I've never been so happy as I am now I've got Henry.

OH always used to moan that I stank of horse pee when he was on straw, but now he's on pellets, I don't hear it so much. Have to admit, my car pongs and my coats kick up a bit too!

Afraid I'm another one who has to shower and change as soon as I get in from the yard. My OH is actually allergic to horses and starts sneezing like crazy if I go anywhere near him in my horsey gear!!

It's the mucking out that makes you really minging smelly. Gets in your hair, pores. The rest is not so bad.

Um, yes! I work in a small village shop and even though I'm horsey myself I'd love to ban horsey people from coming in as they stink! That said, there are some non-horsey people who smell even worse, so go figure!

Yes we defo smell but only after bring round out horses.. Not in general or after a shower!! Lol.. It's they mucking out that does it.. Straw is the worst!

Yeah am sure we do, can't smell it on myself so much anymore, but if my girls have been mucked out while i work they definitely pong when they get in the car, although not quite as bad now on shavings. Roll on summer turnout!!! :p:)

Yes, definitely!

I leave wellies at the yard (as they along with my coat are probably the worst offenders!) have baby wipes & perfume in the cr in case I have to pop out en route for whatever reason - I try desperately hard not to get out anywhere though!

Then usually jump into the shower/bath ASAP if I can!

Strangely my oh doesn't mind when I smell of horse but if I've been scrubbing the rabbit house out I have to go and shower straight away.
From this I gather I probably always stink of something, no wonder all the dogs in the village come up to say hi on their way past!

Oh yes, we stink of wee in winter. I can't usually smell it, but after one particularly mucky out winter's morn the employee in Tesco certainly could! ;D
