A gent I know local to where I used to live has offered me a mountain pony (sec a type) that he came into posession of because he wanted the filly who came with it.
Its a filly, MIGHT make 11hh (11.2 tops) gray thing, really cute but unhandled, fresh off the mountain.
He wants £60 but I think I could get him down to £50 without much trouble.
I have a paddock with shelter that's small enough to still be able to catch her. She doesn't need feeding (is doing fine on hay) or rugs, just a good worming/vet check, her feet look surprisingly good.
In any case she's adorable, if broken to ride would be ideal for my son and daughter (6 yrs and 2.5 yrs) as a leadrein... And as there's currently 3 geldings up there, if we take two horses out, the htird is left on his own so could be helpful as a companion for the 'left behind' horse.
But I wasn't really looking for another horse and can't promise the kids will WANT to ride (my son is autistic and daughter is just too young to ask really) although both love my horses...
I don't know, someone point out the realities of taking on another horse, even one that's just that small...
