Do I expect to much from my instructor?

ridiculous.

unless im stuck somewhere with no signal i always text to say ill be a few mins late and i always feel guilty and am SO apologetic.

i would have no clients left if it took his attitude.

you deserve better service!

Completely out of order! Doesn't sound to me like he values you as a customer, cut your losses and go elsewhere.

Sometimes people can be incredibly spineless and as someone else up thread pointed out, I don't think he wants to continue teaching you, but hasn't got the nerve to front it out and tell you.

My instructor will always let me know if running late, bless her a few weeks ago, she was heading to the yard before me as teaching other liveries beforehand, rang me to tell me the traffic was bad and that i should go a different route to get to the yard as it was awful, she managed to avoid it as well, but i thought that was really very kind.

I would be livid. I am self-employed and time is money!

I was half an hour late for a meeting yesterday and rang 15 minutes before I was due to arrive to apologise and explain - a journey that should have taken me around 1 hr 20 mins actually took more than two hours. My customers were understanding but the next time I visit them, I will find a different route. In all honesty, I was starving and could have done with stopping for a sandwich but I could never, ever justify being late for that reason!

He's taking the michael.

Nope, occasionaly up to half an hour late would be acceptable - other lessons may run over sometimes. But hours late regularly with the excuse that he was doing his own things?
He'd be long gone.

You are the client paying him and your time is special to you, having 4 lessons a week then he should have more respect for you.

In this day and age everyway is available to contact people. If I am ever going to be late then I will contact my clients and inform them.

Ask around about a better more reliable trainer. have one recommended by other people are worth their wait in Gold. Ditch HIM.
