Right - i am just thinking - so no one hang me please:-
Brought my little chap so i could jump and do cross country and go to loads of fun rides over the summer - reason i had a horse box...... little chap is now lame, and tbh i have written off this year with him - he has got at least 6 to 8 weeks box rest and if he is sound then it will be move to paddock then start to get him fit, if not decisons will have to be made, but i honestly dont think i could have him pts even if he is going to be a lawnmower for the next 20 years - you do have responsibilites when you buy them in my opinion.
Now my big lad - whom i do still get a little nervous on and have so far not got the balls to jump him - do i push myself with him and risk loosing my confidence all together with him? but plough on with my summer aims and ambitions - it may be the making of us - it may be the breaking of us - but he is 20 this year and if i could only get confident on him he really would be my horse of a lifetime!
(Please remember i have my old girl whom is enjoying her very happy (and long...)
retirement - she is 26 now)
Shall i start my riding lessons again - where i specifically used to jump Or do i loan a horse for the summer - I would be very very honest in advertising for a loan pony or shall i just go and buy a 4th - (the amount i spend on my hobby one more wont be noticed by the OH- i hope).... ?
Sorry - i am not as uncaring a person as this post may make me seam - i just spend a fortune on my hobby and would at least like to get a good summers worth out of it !
